All In – AI (GEAR UP 2024)

The Initiative

In 2024, the Institute for Public School Initiatives (IPSI) was awarded its fifth GEAR UP Partnership grant from the U.S. Department of Education: ALL IN – GEAR UP. This dynamic, seven-year grant supports more than 3,500 students across 10 middle schools and 10 high schools in five Texas school districts: Eagle Pass ISD, Lockhart ISD, San Felipe-Del Rio CISD, Southwest ISD, and Somerset ISD. The ALL IN grant is designed to increase college and career readiness through a comprehensive support model that includes rigorous academics, STEM programming, tutoring, mentoring, wraparound services, and postsecondary planning. Students receive ongoing support from middle school through their first year of college, while families and educators benefit from targeted training and resources that build college knowledge and instructional effectiveness. With a focus on strengthening academic achievement and providing meaningful pathways to postsecondary success, the ALL IN grant reflects UT’s ongoing commitment to helping students overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
